Mike McPherson

After serving the residents of Nassau County, FL for over 20 years, Mike has retired! During this time, Mike has selflessly dedicated his time and expertise to helping others improve all aspects of their lives. He feels incredibly blessed for having had this opportunity. He will be forever grateful for the memories and friendships he has made over the years. He looks forward to spending more time with his family. Traveling with his wife. Playing pickleball with his children. Biking with his granddaughter. Restoring his 1965 Mustang convertible.

Mike served in the United States Navy from 1976 to 1996. On October 3, 1989, he began his counseling career at the Navy Drug and Alcohol Counseling School in San Diego, CA. He has given hundreds of presentations in a vast array of subject matters as well as attending world class trainings at renowned institutions. These institutions include: Hazelden Institute, Center City, MN, Johnson Institute, Minneapolis, MN, Institute for Integral Development, Colorado Springs, CO, School of Addiction Study, University of North Carolina, and Preceptorship Training in Coronado Island, CA.

Mike received his first counseling certification in April 1991, and decided helping others was his destiny. He obtained a Master of Science in Chemical Dependency and became a Florida Certified Addition Professional in 1998. After working as a counselor for a few years, it was obvious the best and most efficient way to help people would be to open his own facility. In 2003, that is exactly what he did. Since then he has become a Florida Certified Mental Health Professional, an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Substance Abuse Professional. He now has over 3 decades of experience in providing services for individuals and families with addiction and mental health problems. It has been a privilege and an honor for him to serve the residents of Nassau County.
